INEC, PDP biker over 25 percent in FCT as Obi bombards court with more evidence

There was a mild drama today at the Presidential Election Tribunal, PET sitting at the Court of Appeal, when the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, who declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner of the election even when he failed to secure 25 percent in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, told the court that candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will not be declared winner of the election, even if the election of the president is annulled since he did not procure 25 percent required by law in the FCT……CONTINUE READING...CONTINUE READING

But lawyer to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar replied INEC, stressing that Atiku had to be president since INEC declared Tinubu winner even when it was clear that Tinubu failed to secure 25 percent in the FCT.

Witness: Yes

INEC: Since he didn’t get 25% in the FCT, do you know he can’t be declared President ?

Witness: But Tinubu didn’t get 25% too & You declared him President. How laughable you might say? But it is very ominous and clear.
