After Another impressive season for ARSENAL – the Gunners are the best defensively sound side in the Premier League and that has helped Raya pick up his first golden glove award.

The Spaniard sealed the honour with two games still to play this term after keeping his 15th clean sheet of the campaign, and According to Fabrizio Romano, He will seal a move to Arsenal at the end of the season as the Gunners board already have an agreement in place.

The Italian claims that Raya will move to Arsenal on a permanent basis for a bargain price of £27 million.

Raya’s Golden Glove award will no doubt feel like full vindication for the Arsenal boss, who received no shortage of questioning and plenty of criticism after deciding to replace England’s Aaron Ramsdale as his No1 option last summer.

“I’m really pleased,” Arteta said of Raya winning the Golden Glove, which had been held by former Manchester United stalwart David De Gea

“It’s a huge success for the team, in this league to achieve that with a few games to go still, with the numbers we are producing.

“It gives us a huge foundation, to be closer to winning titles and winning trophies. The contribution of everybody, including David obviously, is really good.”

Many questioned why Raya was brought to the club in the summer – but he has won that award for a reason. ARSENAL have been brilliant this season defensively and any stopper that played behind the likes of William Saliba and Gabriel was always going to be in the running for that golden glove award.

But fans will be happy that he is staying we are sure.
