The Mundubawa country home of former Governor of Kano State, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau has been gutted by fire, destroying the sitting rooms of his second wife, Halima Shekarau. A source closed to the family told New Telegraph that the Fire started in evening and from the inner kitchen of the House which was at down flour of the Multi Million Naira Mansion.
He said, “We thank God the fire only affected one of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau sitting room and already the Fire Service Officials are struggling to quench it.
The spokesperson of the State Fire Service who confirmed the incident, however, explained that for now he will not comment on the matter because they are still at the premises trying to completely put up the fire.
“We are still at the house and you know I cannot comment on anything now because we are still trying to make sure that the fire didn’t spread to other places”, he added.
