Lalong who was at the Mass with his wife Mrs Regina and children, took the opportunity to offer thanksgiving to God for his faithfulness and protection throughout his journey in life.
With the new assignment, he will soon assume, Lalong and his family received special blessings from John Cardinal Onaiyekan who also charged him to continue to serve God and make the church proud through quality service and godly conduct.
He urged the appointeee to always put God above any other consideration as public service presents an opportunity for believers to convey not only the message of Christ and his salvation, but also his love to mankind.
