Some journalists who visited the venue, observed that some youths in the area, who crowded the late actor’s yet-to-be-completed building, were preventing reporters from capturing or covering the house.

The burial, which was scheduled for 1:00 pm, had yet to take place as the body of the deceased had yet to arrive at the venue as of the time of filing this report around 2:17 pm.

Also, the burial ground had been dug waiting for the arrival of the deceased body.

No celebrities had arrived at the venue as of the time of filing this report.

Confirming the burial arrangement during an interview with journalists, the family head of Fetuata, Afolabi’s family compound in Osogbo, Yusuf Lateef, said the actor’s remains would be laid to rest later today.

“We were initially planning to bury him here in Osogbo but his children insisted he should be buried in Lagos, where he resides with his family. We will be sending representatives to Lagos today.”

Meanwhile, the president of the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Murufudeen Lawal, who was at the Afolabi family compound in Osun on a condolence visit, said the actor’s death was a big loss to the Yoruba film industry.

It was gathered that the late actor was preparing for the launching of his latest movie, Alani Omo Iya Osogbo.
