Showboy, who grew up in Accra and later moved to the USA to join his mother, was deported to Ghana after serving a prison sentence.
During the interview, Showboy revealed that although he is of Asante descent, his family originally moved from Adanse Fomena to Akyem Oda.
When questioned about his education, he explained that he attended schools in Accra such as John Teye and Presec because he believed there were better educational opportunities in the capital.
Ola Michael, who had attended school in Kumasi, took offense to Showboy’s comments.
However, Showboy stood by his opinion, stating that he was speaking the truth about the lack of civilization in Kumasi.
He pointed out that even those who achieve success in Kumasi often aspire to move to Accra for a better quality of life.
Showboy challenged Ola Michael by asking why he had chosen to live in Accra if Kumasi was such a great place.
His controversial statements have sparked a debate about the perception of Kumasi as a city compared to other regions in Ghana.
