Mbappe’s feat came after he netted a brace for PSG in the second leg of their quarter-final clash against Barcelona. The French captain converted a penalty in the 61st minute and capitalized on an error by Jules Kounde to score his second goal in the 89th minute, sealing PSG’s 6-4 aggregate win at full-time.
With this performance, the 25-year-old now boasts 48 goals in 71 Champions League appearances, matching Ibrahimovic’s tally of 48 goals in 124 games.
