When Phyna won the N100 million grand prize in the 2022 BBNaija “Level Up” season, her parents felt like God had finally heard their prayers.
To them, their agony was over, but the parents of the reality TV star were unaware that this was only the beginning of their troubles.
Phyna’s parents claimed they last laid eyes on her on the day she was named the winner of BBNaija season 7 in 2022.
Phyna’s father, Mr. Felix Otabor, described his ordeal to our reporter during the week. He said that while his daughter had left them after winning BBNaija, he was currently more concerned about the fact that she had asked him to stop being a hearse driver (someone who transports the deceased from the funeral home or mortuary to the final resting place), hoping for the best.
He was unaware that his daughter had other plans to starve her family to death so she could live in luxury alone.
Since my daughter was the current winner of the competition, I sold all four of my vehicles. I believed that our prayers had been heard from God at last. God has blessed us, she stated when I called her on the phone.
She threatened to give all of my old vehicles to Aboki the moment she came home unless I got rid of them.
So I chose to sell them as scrap and utilise the money to repair my home rather than letting her throw my cars out for scavengers. My agony started right then and there.
Because I was left without a car, I stopped running my business. And my neighbours said I was either stingy or fabricating stories about my daughter winning a N100 million big prize.
I was the vice-chairman of our association, but when I was unable to appear at our station for a while, they appointed someone else in my place.
Phyna doesn’t return their calls, the 68-year-old driver of the ambulance car said with regret. He questioned what they had done wrong for their first child to want this kind of care.
When asked why Phyna was avoiding them, Otabor replied that he couldn’t explain and added that when he spoke to us earlier in the week, he didn’t know where his daughter was. “I only see her on Facebook or Instagram whenever she shares new photos on these platforms,” he continued.
In the meantime, Phyna first ignored our reporter’s phone calls when she tried to reach her on the phone. Instead, she texted a friend to let them know she was shooting on location!
