Tinubu defeated the People’s Democratic Party’s closest rival, Atiku Abubakar, who won the election with a total of 6,984,520 votes, beating the opposition by a total margin of 8,794,726 votes, with the Labor Party’s Peter Obi in third place. I remember what happened. With 6,101,533 total votes, NNPP’s Rabiu Kwankwaso came in fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
At the swearing-in ceremony, Tinubu said he would never allow his personal interests to influence his own official actions and decisions. “I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, solemnly swear that my personal interests will not influence my official actions and decisions,” he said. “May God help me.”
