There are various reasons why God chose to bury Moses in the absence of the Israelites. One of the reasons could be that God wanted to show that Moses was a servant of God and not a man who should be worshiped by the Israelites. If Moses’ grave was known, it would have become a place of worship, and people would have turned it into a shrine, which is something that God did not want.
Another reason why God chose to bury Moses in secret was that Moses was a great leader and prophet of Israel, and his death could have caused chaos among the people. The Israelites were already mourning the death of Moses and were grieving his absence from the Promised Land. If they knew where Moses was buried, they might have tried to recover his body or even fought over it, which could have led to violence and unrest….CONTINUE READING
