Rema’s appearance marked a historic moment as the first-ever Afrobeats artist to grace the Ballon d’Or stage.

The crowning moment of his performance was when he ventured off the stage to share a close-up moment with some of the nominated players in attendance at the award ceremony.

From PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, to Man City’s Erling Haaland, to Bernardo Silva, and the others, the singer extended his hand in a gesture of camaraderie, and they all warmly grasped it, turning the encounter into a heartwarming scene straight out of a feel-good flick in viral videos
