A notorious bandit leader in the Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State popularly called Sani Dangote has been killed following a clash between two rival bandit groups. A reliable security source in the area said on Monday that the battle for supremacy started when Dankarami rustled cattle belonging to Sani Dangote’s camp.
According to the source, the gun battle started around 3:14 pm on Sunday which led to the death of many bandits.
“The battle between the two bandit kingpins started when Dankarami rustled the cattle belonging to Sani Dangote. That was how the fight began”, he added.
The State police command is yet to make an official statement regarding the incident.
