The initial accusations revolved around IVD, who had alleged that Davido owed him a considerable sum of 4.5 million Naira. According to Blessing Okoro, this debt had arisen due to a transaction in which IVD purchased a car for Israel, one of Davido’s aides, and Davido had not yet completed the payment. However, in response to these claims, IVD publicly denied any financial dispute with Davido. He stated that he was on good terms with the music superstar, vehemently refuting the allegations.
Feeling perhaps slighted by IVD’s strong denial, Blessing Okoro resolved to back her claims with what she presented as concrete evidence. She boldly disclosed her intent to release a detailed voice note documenting her conversation with IVD through WhatsApp, with the recording containing discussions about Davido’s outstanding debt.
As promised, Blessing Okoro delivered on her word and revealed the extensive voice note. In the recording, IVD can be heard discussing the alleged debt issue concerning Davido. He claims that Davido had owed him money, and collecting the debt had proven to be challenging. IVD stated that he had faced numerous problems when attempting to reach out to Davido and that it had taken several months before Davido finally responded.
At the time of this report, Davido has not issued a formal response to the accusations or the released evidence. However he did say yesterday on Twitter that nobody should beg him suggesting that he was about to address the allegations.
