Miss Awuda: Family alleges cover-up
Her case gained attention in July after she was allegedly beaten to death at a club section of a hotel. Awuda was accused of picking up money being sprayed during a birthday party and was physically assaulted till she died.
The parents of the deceased lamented that their daughter’s life was cut short.
Although the police said the autopsy proved she drowned, Chinyere’s parents insisted that she was killed.
Missing FUOYE student found dead
In a piece of related news, reported that a student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Atanda Modupe Deborah, was found dead.
Atanda, a 200-level student in the Department of Nursing, was declared missing after she set out to study at night on Monday, September 4.
On Thursday, September 7, Mufutau Ibrahim, the university’s registrar, confirmed that the student’s corpse had been discovered.
Funeral of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya
In another melancholic news, also reported that renowned Nigerian clergyman Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya was finally laid to rest, and it was indeed a celebration of a life well spent.
The lying-in-state and burial took place at Pastor Odukoya’s Ministry, The Fountain of Life Church, Industrial Estate, Ilupeju, Lagos state.
