According to PM News, the student was found dead when the door to her apartment was forced open with bottle of popular insecticide, sniper lying beside her corpse.
The Dean of Student Affairs, UNIPORT, Chima Wokocha, who confirmed the sad incident said some of Adaeze’s neighbours brought her to a health facility in the school.
Wokocha said the UNIPORT management and the police had visited the scene of the incident.
He also said that Adaeze’s parents had also been notified of the incident.
“The police were there with us also. We acknowledge the fact that she had taken a substance and passed out because there was a bottle of a substance that was found by her side.
“The parents have come there and I think they are making arrangements to take the body.”
Missing UNIPORT student found dead in boyfriend’s apartment
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that a 300-level Biological Chemistry student of UNIPORT, Otuene Justina Nkang, was found dead in her boyfriend’s apartment in the River State capital.
Nkang has been declared missing four days after leaving her place of work, where she was doing her industrial training at a private hospital in Port Harcourt.
A source said Nkang’s boyfriend killed her and mutilated her body parts.
Missing FUOYE student found dead
Also reported that a student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Atanda Modupe Deborah, was found dead.
Atanda, a 200-level student in the Department of Nursing, was declared missing after she set out to study at night on Monday, September 4. On Thursday, September 7.
Mufutau Ibrahim, the university’s registrar, confirmed that the student’s corpse had been discovered. Late Deborah was reportedly buried in a shallow grave.
Missing Abuja undergraduate found dead
The missing undergraduate student of the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, Ms Blessing Karami, was found dead.
It was gathered that Blessing’s corpse was found in the woods of Karmo, a suburb in the Federal Capital Territory, after she had been declared missing since Monday, September 11. Ms Blessing was reported to have left her workplace in Garki before the regular closing hour on the day she was declared missing.
