The bizarre 60-second confrontation, which also saw Thiago Silva and Conor Gallagher interject in a bid to defuse the situation, infuriated Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Meanwhile, in his post-match interview, Chelsea boss Pochettino apologised to fans for his players’ behaviour.
