According to a video obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR on Sunday, the operation, conducted by a joint team of security agencies, has led to the arrest of multiple suspects believed to be behind a string of abductions in the area.
Following the development, netizens have continued to call on government to pass into law, death penalty for kidnappers.
An eyewitness said, “I don’t think death penalty is the answer to kidnapping; because that kidnapper will not have time to really realize the gravity of what he has done.”
Come to think of it. Since the relatives of the victims are willing to pay millions of naira in ransom to protect their loved ones, the illegal conduct has become the surest path to instant wealth for those involved. And they are enjoying it, as these devils see it as a very lucrative venture.
Therefore, the death penalty should be applied to kidnappers; it would act as a deterrent. Once caught, kill them. Enough is enough.
