Ejiro, the truck driver who drove his burning tanker to a safe place to avoid putting people’s lives and properties to danger said that when his tanker caught fire, he told his conductor to jump outta the tanker so that he can drive alone. He drove the tanker to a river that he feels is a safer place to park the tanker so that no lives will be lost, he did it to the detriment of his own life. He also said that he’s now like a hero to the people living around him, he’s being celebrated every day by people around him for his heroic action.

The government of Delta state invited him to come to collect a letter of appreciation for his actions. The government also applauded his action and encouraged other Nigerians to emulate him
