When he was told that before former president Muhammadu Buhari left office, a bag of rice was not up to N30,000, but now, it is approaching N80,000. And that a bag of cement was not more than N3,000, but now, it is approaching N10,000, reacting to this, Yakasai said Tinubu needs more time to solve the problem.

When he was talking, he said, “I’ve seen changes. My experience is that people think that when a system is changed, the whole problem in the country will be over overnight. It is not possible anywhere in the world. You’ve to give time for the system to develop, for the new administration to study the problems, and devise strategies on how to deal with them.”

Further talking, he said, “Nine months are not enough for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Although he was a state governor, he is a different person now. He has some experience of running a government at the state level, but now, there are 36 states with over 200 million people. So it is a different situation all together.”
