He said this on the sidelines of the New Global Financing Pact Summit in the French capital, Paris during his interaction with Nigerians based in France and other European countries.

According to President Tinubu, Emefiele’s actions caused Nigerians abroad difficulties as they are unable to send money to their relatives because of the multiple exchange rates.

He said this is now a thing of the past and he is in the hands of the authorities.

Recall that on June 9, Emefiele was suspended and taken into custody of the Department of State Security, DSS.

“The financial system was rotten. Few people making bags of our money and then you yourself, you stopped sending money home to our poor parents. Several windows… but that is gone now, is gone.
