President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed amazement at the Green-White-Green fencing of the Holy Ka’bah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, saying the colours reminded him of Nigeria’s national identity, as reported by DAILY TRUST on Monday November 2, 2026
Tinubu made the statement while reflecting on his recent spiritual journey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, during which he was granted the rare privilege of entering the Holy Ka’abah to offer prayers to Almighty Allah.
The President expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for granting him and members of his Nigerian delegation the opportunity to enter the sacred structure.
Tinubu described the privilege as a historic and deeply cherished spiritual experience, noting that it reflected the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
He also thanked the Saudi royal family and administrators of the holy land for the hospitality and recognition accorded to him as the leader of Nigeria’s delegation.
The President further expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to serve as Nigeria’s leader, adding that he believed the country would overcome its challenges through faith in God.
