A motorcycle mechanic identified as Tunde Ajayi, is on the run after he struck a physically challenged man with a wooden object at Irowo Quarters in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State. Eyewitnesses said the mechanic was initially engaged in what appeared to be playful banter with the victim, who made it clear he was not in a good mood.
In a fit of anger, Tubosun was said to have attempted slapping the mechanic.
But in his reaction, the mechanic allegedly resorted to using a wooden object to hit the man’s head.
The impact caused the victim to suffer a significant loss of blood.
Tubosun was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital for medical treatment.
He was later transferred to the General hospital for proper treatment.
It was gathered that local authorities are actively searching for the suspect who reportedly fled the scene shortly after committing the act.
