On Monday, a TikTok user with 371 followers, using the screen name “_monix2,” posted a video where she read parts of the letter in which Osama bin Laden said his killing of Americans had been justified by the United States’ support of Israel’s “occupation” of Palestine.
Yesterday, videos with the ‘#lettertoamerica’ hashtag (which has now been banned by Tiktok), was been about 2 million times.
While many claim the letter has exposed them to the part of history they never learned, some American commentators described it as a propaganda.
In the letter, Osama claimed Israel never had a land and that the Jews are occupying the land of Palestine with America’s support.
The late terrorist claimed the British handed over Palestine with America’s support to the Jews who are planning to destroy the popular Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Osama pronounced in the letter that the ‘blood flowing in Palestine because of America must be fully revenged’: a statement that believeably spawned the Israel-Hamas war.
“The creation and continuation of Israel is one of the greatest crimes, and you (America) are the leaders of its criminals. And of course there is no need to explain and prove the degree of American support for Israel.
“The creation of Israel is a crime erased. Each and every person whose hands have become polluted in the constitution towards this crime must pay its price, and pay for it heavily,” Osama said in the controversial letter that has now been unpublished by media houses.
TikTok spokesman Alex Haurek said Thursday that the company was “proactively and aggressively” removing videos promoting the letter for violating the company’s rules on “supporting any form of terrorism” and said it was “investigating” how the videos got onto its platform
How The Israel-Hamas War Started
