The witness, Mike Enahoro-Ebah, who was called to testify by the petitioners’ counsel, Chris Uche, SAN, identified himself as a lawyer and human rights activist. He adopted his written deposition, which was filed on June 20, as his testimony. Enahoro-Ebah presented certified copies of Tinubu’s academic qualifications and personal documents as evidence, which were admitted and marked as exhibits by the court.
Among the evidence tendered by the witness were Tinubu’s academic transcript from South West College, indicating that he attended Chicago State University as a female. Enahoro-Ebah also presented a notarized judgment from criminal asset forfeiture proceedings involving Tinubu, which he received in April 2023.
Despite objections from the respondents in the case, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tinubu, and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), the court admitted the documents into evidence.
During cross-examination, the witness confirmed that the President had dual citizenship. When asked if he inquired from the Guinean embassy about Tinubu renouncing his alleged citizenship, Enahoro-Ebah stated that the former President of Guinea, Alpha Conde, acknowledged the issuance of the passport.
In a separate development, the PDP and Atiku officially closed their case at the Presidential Election Petition Court, as they had exhausted their allotted time.
