“The district head secretly release the official documents to the opponent of the village chief of Zagabutu Salihu Pada, to go to court over the turbaning,” he said.

“It was after undergoing all the necessary selection process, the new village chief of Zagabutu was presented to me in which I turbaned him. And the district head now instigated the person that contested for the stool to go to court, where he secretly release some official documents to him to go to court,”he said.

He added “as if that was not enough, the district head still went to the court to enter witness box in support of the opponent of the new chief of Zagabutu, that I turbaned and testified against my palace despite we did everything together with him,” he added.

He further said the district head allegedly failed to receive him during his tour across all the districts under his chiefdom, adding that he also failed to visit his district to condole with families of three fulani herdsmen that were killed in his district.

He also accused the embattled district head for going to police station to grant some of his subjects he ordered their detention at Rubochi police station for removing turban of the new village chief of Zagabutu, Salihu Pada at a public function.

“And despite the three queries I issued to him over his actions, he failed to respond to even one. In fact, people of his district had late last year, filed a petition to my palace demanding for his removal as district head of Huni,” the monarch claimed.

The monarch said there are over 15 various offences committed by the sacked district head against his palace.

But, the chairman of Kuje area council, Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has kicked against the removal of the embattled district head and described it as null and void.

Sabo, while reacting through his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Nuhu Tanko Waziri, noted that the traditional rulership system and its attendant institutions exist at the pleasure of the council chairman who wield enormous powers over the appointment, discipline and removal of any traditional ruler and district head in the council.

“Therefore, the removal of Mallam Ibrahim Aduga as the district head of Huni and appointment of Mallam Labaran Muhammed Aduga as the acting district head of Huni is null and void,” the chairman said.

The embattled district head could not be reached for comment as efforts by our correspondent to get his own side of the allegations against him proved abortive….CONTINUE READING
