Speaking in the interview, Shehu Sani argued that Bola Tinubu can decide to appoint those who love the country or those he wants to repay for the support they gave to him during the election.
He said former governors who should be probed for the way they managed the resources of their states while they were governors, are waiting for Bola Tinubu to give them appointment.
Shehu Sani however, noted that Nigerians are waiting to see how determined Bola Tinubu is to pursue his policies and programs. He said at the end of the day, the people would decide whether his programs and policies have made the nation more prosperous or otherwise.
Shehu Sani said “what is very important is the calibre of people he gets into his government. There are two ways; it’s either you get people who will work for Nigeria or you appoint people you want to appease, people who’ve contributed to your election. Former governors that ought to have been investigated and tried for what they’ve done in office, they are waiting for appointment in Tinubu’s government.
“We will be left to see in the next few months, the economic direction of the government. How determined, honest it is to pursue it’s policies and programs, and how will that promises key into our national unity, peace stability and prosperity, it is something that will be left overtime for us to assess.….CONTINUE READING
