The man, who looks to be in his early 50s, was arrested on suspicion of using black magic to injure his current wife and her family spiritually.
According to reports, the man’s stated motivations included injuring his wife, breaking his brother-in-law’s leg, and mentally challenging his stepson, who lived and worked in Canada.
The disturbing incident was made public when the fetish priest in Ghana informed police officials about the man’s visit to his shrine, where he allegedly asked for help in planning to harm his wife’s family members.
The man sought to have his wife killed and his stepson to go mad, the fetish priest claimed, intending to wipe out his memory and make him forget the properties he had established for himself and his mother.
