Speaking further, former governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike said, “Governor Sim Fubara was our accountant general so he knows how we used money during my administration. Till date, no bank can accuse us of owing them because I made sure we didn’t. If any bank has a proof of me owing them, they should publish it.”

Again, former governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike said, “the debt I left behind is always deducted monthly by the banks from our Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). Sometimes they take 900 million naira or one billion naira monthly.”

Lastly, former governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike said, “I always wonder when Nigeria’s auditor General publishes the country’s debt management. I once asked him where the government get those debts from because throughout my 8 years, I never incurred any. He told me it was the debt Nigeria incurred through the military.”
