In an interview with YouTuber, Kwahu Ambassador, Mr. Sarpong revealed that he was ridiculed as being under the influence of tramadol for telling the chief and elders of Akwasiho that he wanted to construct a road that leads to a cave in Twenedurase.
The millionaire explained that he wanted to construct the road leading to the cave because he thought the cave could be a great tourism attraction site which will rake in huge revenue for government.
According to Mr. Yaw Sarpong, he first discovered the cave when he paid a visit to the place during an Easter celebrations.
When he communicated his intention to construct the road to the chief of Akwasiho, he got a shocking reply of ridicule from the chief who said, “You young boys of this generation are funny. After taking your tramadol and other drugs then you begin to talk anyhow. A road that white men have come to try to construct and have failed. That’s what you think you can construct.” But Mr. Yaw Sarpong claimed this did not deter him.
He asked one of his excavator drivers to bring the truck to the town and excavate the road.
He went on to reveal that the chief got to know of the work he and his team were doing ten days into the work and came to give the team his blessings.

He added that, after working on the first face of the road, the government contacted him and decided to put the work into a contract.
However, the roads Minister Hon. Amoako Attah said that, due to the nature of the road, it must be awarded to an international company.
After the award of the contract to an international company, no work has been done on the road yet.
