According to Okonkwo, the case was adjourned to Wednesday, 10th May, 2023 at 2pm prompt after a brief pre-hearing trial.
Thelagostimes reports that the Tribunal began its hearing on the petitions filed by aggrieved presidential candidates on Monday.
LEADERSHIP earlier reported that the chairman of PEPT, Justice Haruna Tsammani, had dismissed the petition of the Action Alliance (AA) filed against the electoral victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election.
The Tribunal dismissed the petition after it was withdrawn by the petitioner on Monday.
Counsel to the petitioner, Oba Maduabuchi, SAN, withdrew the petition and prayed the court to dismiss same.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Action Peoples Party (APP), and Allied Peoples Movement (APM), are challenging the declaration of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 25 February 2023 election….CONTINUE READING
