The chairman of the Kano State Council of Ulama, added that Kunya’s online influence can be harnessed for good.
He proposed pairing her with a well-known social media suave that is versatile on how to make money on social media for the benefit of youths.
Recall that Kunya has been locked in a dispute with the Kano State Hisbah Board, which accuses her of immoral conduct.
A Kano Shari’ah Court recently ordered Kunya to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at a government hospital “to ascertain her mental status,” citing concerns about her mental state during a previous court appearance.
The Hisbah Board arrested Kunya in February, charging her with public nuisance, indecency, and attempting to recruit young girls into prostitution.
The board claimed their actions stemmed from a surge in complaints from community members regarding Kunya’s negative influence on young people.
Kunya’s release from custody just days after her remand sparked public outrage.
The state government, through Commissioner for Information Baba Halilu Dantiye, denied any involvement in her release, but accusations of government complicity swirled.
