Married shortly after completing her form four education, Jumoke faced a tumultuous marriage marked by her mother-in-law’s disapproval and her husband’s lack of support. Fleeing the toxic environment, she returned to her parents’ house, leaving her two children behind. Determined to build a new life, Jumoke worked hard and successfully established a beauty shop in Nairobi, eventually reuniting with her children.
Their family attended a church in Kayole, where Jumoke actively participated in praise and worship, gaining the trust of her pastor who was also involved in deliverance ministry. The pastor approached her, expressing concern for her daughter and suggesting anointing oil application at their home.
Trusting the pastor, Jumoke allowed him to bring anointing oil. However, the visit took a sinister turn when he propositioned her. Despite her resistance, she found herself succumbing to his advances and later discovered she was pregnant. The pastor callously insisted she terminate the pregnancy, threatening dire consequences if she refused.
