The Argentinian coach has torn up the contract he agreed in London after reaching an amicable agreement with chairman Todd Boehly. The English club are already working on finding a replacement for next campaign.
Mauricio Pochettino decided to leave his post on Tuesday morning after concluding the end-of-term meeting. A meeting in which the 2023/24 project was discussed alongside sporting directors Paul Winstanley, Laurence Stewart and Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali.
“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea, we would like to express our gratitude to Mauricio for his service this season. He will be welcome back to Stamford Bridge any time and we wish him all the very best in his future coaching career,” they said.
Both parties have decided to end his time in London despite the fact that the contractual situation he signed in the summer lasted until 2025. Dramatic memories with the third coach to jump ship from Clearlake Capital after Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter. It’s a fresh start in the English capital.
