Nekesa, undergoing a scrutiny for the alleged theft of party’s shs.3 billion from her bedroom at her home in Muyenga, is said to have been cheating on her husband with the bodyguard thus misusing the party’s money.

In his statement at the CMI headquarters in Mbuya, Wango informed police that he earned a lot of money from the NRM party finance manager (Nekesa) who would invite him in her bedroom and pay in dollars after a fantastic game.

“She used to pay me between $200 and $500 each time I serviced her from her bedroom,” Wango told police.

He revealed that Nekesa’s bedroom was a store of bags of money with some cash in US dollars while others were in Uganda shillings.

According to investigations, a suitcase of shs800 million was recovered from Wango’s father’s residence in an Eastern district.

Wango is facing charges of aggravated robbery and other offenses for reportedly collaborating with other two police officers and raided the Nekesa’s home in Kampala, taking off with six bags of money amounting to shs3 billion.

The security-man was allegedly attracted by the huge bags of cash before conniving with Sergeant Dominic Idro and Constable Sharif Mugoya to rob the money and other property including mobile phones.

Investigations into the matter is still ongoing with several arrests being made to establish the exact cause of theft of money belonging to the ruling political party led by President Yoweri Museveni.
