Queens Park Rangers, Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, Kaizer Chiefs and Saudi Arabian Al-Ettifaq were all reported to be interested in the services of the 1.96m tall goalkeeper.
Chippa United CEO, Siviwe Mpengesi, confirmed that his team is in talks with other football clubs as regards Nwabali’s future after the 1.97m tall goalkeeper revealed he won’t be renewing his contract with theChilli Boysthis summer.
According to multiple reports from the South African media, Chippa United are requesting about £1.3 million (R30 million or ₦2.245 billion) to sell Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Kaizer Chiefs are unwilling to pay that amount, hinting at a move abroad for Nwabali, as the asking price is considered a decent amount for all of the other clubs interested. The Nigerian’s current deal with Chippa United runs till the summer of 2026.
