Both politicians spoke at a welcome home party of the APC Reformation Forum.

The party which was for Ijesa Federal Constituency for Ijesa sons, who served at the national, state assembly, as well as in the cabinet of former, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, on Sunday in Ilesa.

While declaring that “No member of the party involved in anti-party during the last governorship and general elections in the state will be spared”, the chairman however appealed to others who remained loyal to keep hopes alive.

He expressed the hope that the party would bounce back in 2026 when a new election impends.

Reiterating the chairman’s position, Mr Omowaye carpeted those who engaged in anti-party activities, saying that sanctioning them would send the right message to other.

Both men made it clear that without disciplined support that the party would not be able to achieve set targets.

Continuing, the chairman also commented on a statement credited to the elders’ caucus of the party to the effect that the immediate past Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, should seek genuine forgiveness with the party.

He said the APC as a body would react to the matter in the nearest future, to find way back into the party, was not the position of APC in the state.
