He revealed that Buhari spent 500 million dollars just to acquire Ajaokuta from the private sector. He added that the amount needed to build a new Ajaokuta is just 1.2 million dollars, but the former president decided to spend such an amount a few months before the end of his tenure.
According to him, “I have a basket of solutions to Nigeria’s problems. If you look at the abandoned projects, you can never grow in this country unless your abandoned project is resolved.
And Asiwaju is a fantastic guy, and I will be honest with you; I told him, “Why do you want to have a minister of special duty rather than a minister of mega projects?” We are still doing mega projects today, and they have been abandoned by successive governments.
Buhari came; how many projects was he able to do from the 11,886? Buhari still appropriated money, even to Ajaokuta. To make it even worse, he even bought over Ajaokuta from the privatized people and paid 500 million dollars; that’s a complete embarrassment. If you’re to do a green seed Ajaokuta today, you need 1.2 dollars.
