Those suspects are: Ibrahim Bashiru, 29; Bolaji Kolawole, 19; Wisdom Effiong, 23; Adewale Ismail, 27; Shina Ade, 27; Olorunwa Olorundare, 27; Samuel Olujide, 15; Ayodele Oladimeji, 27; and Olawale Ibrahim, 24.
Others are: Adeniran Gabriel, 27; Paul Ifeanyi, 19; Sharafa Rafiu, 24; Ibrahim Kabir, 19; Mutiu Alabi, 18; Aruna Raji, 21; Oluremi Ayo, 30; and Hamzat Fawaz, 13.
Corps Marshal of the agency, Major Olatunbosun Olaniyi Cole (rtd), said the miscreants lurked around bridges with intent to dispossess pedestrians of valuables.
He said: “We have read the riot act to these miscreants and it is important to note that there is no hiding place for them, because any hindrance identified as a threat to pedestrians’ safety on bridges will be met with stiff opposition and consequences.”
Cole revealed that collaboration with the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Oshodi Branch A, Ibrahim Olasheu, and the Baba Oja of Oshodi-Bolade, Sanni Afeez Olanrewaju, resulted in the arrest.
