“I once worked very closely with Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila when he was the Majority Leader in the 8th Assembly which I was a member, serving Dutsin-ma/Kurfi Federal Constituency. He is very smart and intelligent senior colleague, the choice of the President to have him as the Chief 0f Staff, having garnered cognate experience, national acceptability, and capacity to represent the interests of all sessions of Nigeria made his appointment to be a perfect choice.
“Similarly, George Akume who served as Governor of Benue State State was another remarkable leader with many milestones, is selection for that sensitive role of Secretary to Government of the Federation proved President Tinubu right for his knack for merit and competence, preference for sophisticated talents. The same goes to Dele Alake who was Commissioner for Information and strategy under him during his administration as Lagos State Governor, he is highly disciplined, loyal and cerebral and these gave him cutting edge. These are men with indelible records who are excellent in their turf and have etched their names in the sands of time.
Kurfi also commended the support of Mr President for ingraining party’s supremacy and core principles/ethos of democracy to the psyche of the 10th Assembly parliamentarians at both chambers which subsequently led to the emergence of the preferred choices for the Assembly’s principal leadership positions.
“Today as former Federal lawmaker I feel so fulfilled to see Senator Godswill Akpabio a leader in my party, All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged as the Senate President of the 10th Assembly. Similar thing was equally witnessed at the House of Representatives where Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, the anointed candidate APC who secured the highest number of votes and emerged as the Speaker. This latest development will form a robust, symbiotic and synergistic relationship between the Executive and the Legislature for the greater good of Nigerians.
“From what I have observed so far in Tinubu’s team, everyone earned their spot. With these great team with him in less than one month of his administration, President Tinubu has proven beyond doubt that he is committed to deliver the Africa’s biggest economy on the right path of socio-economic advancements within shortest possible time.
